How to Make Oilcloth

We do not recommend making your own oilcloth at home. Since it's creation in the 19th century, oilcloth has gone through many different formulas. It has now been perfected using an eco friendly method utilizing recycled and organic components. 

If you were to make it at home it would never fully dry and would be prone to decay, exposing you to bacteria. Homemade projects like those using linseed oil harbored germs, had funky odors and ended up rotting. Oilcloth made in a professional manufacturing setting has the tools to ensure a safe, high quality product.
